MisionMusica

MisionMusica is an all-volunteer non-profit organization (in the United States) started in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2005, by Nicolas Paulino. After arranging for his children to have music lessons, Paulino became aware of the many difficulties for economically distressed students in obtaining instruments and proper music instruction.

Observing the many positive results from such instruction with his own children, he was inspired to help those children who might not otherwise have such opportunities.

Seeking out musicians at Festival 2005 at the Teatro Nacional in Santo Dominogo, Paulino enlisted their interest and help to raise funds and collect musical instruments, sheet music, and other necessary supplies.

At the same time, he arranged to work with local music schools to create opportunities for students using the collected resources.
