Our Success!
MisionMusica, with the assistance of the Fundacion Sinfonia (www.sinfonia.org.do) has arranged and organized free master classes and private lessions, and provided instruments for more than 70 students.
In six years, MisionMusica has collected
- 39 violins
- 9 violas
- 17 cellos
- 2 clarinets
- 3 flutes
- 1 piccolo
- 1 electric piano
- 1 french horn
- 1 alto saxophone
- 1 trombone
- 1 guitar
In addition, MM has received
- 6 professional Manhasset music stands
- two sets of harp strings, and 2 harp tuners
- 2 sets of violin strings, and a set of strings for the string bass.
We have engaged the support of
- The Cicily Tyson School of Performing and Fine Arts,
- Dan Schab Violins,
- Steve Davis Violinmaker,
- Ron Fletcher String Instruments, and
- Ithaca Talent Education Suzuki School
Our volunteer base in the United States and the Dominican Republic is strong, and continues to grow.
